Our Sacred Purpose with Horses; A virtual Retreat Experience
A gathering where we can come together as practitioners and as those that are following the path of horse medicine, to reconnect and anchor into our why and collective purpose with the medicine of horses.
A space where we can explore and be held in: how to allow our unique path and purpose with horses to lead our vision and practical creation of our spaces with our herd.
How to lead from a place of discernment and authenticity, and to manage the places where fear leads our creations and decisions.
How to hold sacred boundaries around our work without moving from a place of scarcity.
How to continue to lean into the space of horses to support our vision with them in both practical and spiritual ways.
To be supported in the holding of our business and spaces that feel aligned in both a deeply practical way and also in the spirit of our purpose and higher calling with horses.
When we are called to this path of horses, we perhaps feel the energy of our inspiration and our calling with them.
We follow this calling and path to where we study, and commit and denote ourselves to the discovery of what it means to partner with horses.
And then we step onto the path in a greater way, or perhaps we get stuck before that process even begins because we don’t know how to put form to what this path is for us.
And then we enter into the world of practice, and we get lost in the weeds of how do we receive clients, or create our experiences, or language it, and what do we charge, and who do we welcome?
Our boundaries become fuzzy, our connection to purpose lost, our time moves away from us, progress doesn’t happen in the way we thought.
We lose our vision, and our grounding and perhaps a disillusion and question in this path and how do we make this happen in a way that feels authentic, connected to purpose and held in a way that feels honoring and sacred to both ourselves and the horses?
Our own journey in the space of the horses began in 2006, the year we discovered this way of being with horses existed and it connected us to a purpose we didn’t have words for.
Over the last 20 years we have followed this path with devotion and let the horses lead us to where we are now.
11 years in running our retreat ranch where horse medicine is at the core of everything we do, having a foundation of what our practice is, an experience with our herd that people seek out and return to.
And the tending of it in a way that feels honoring and aligned to our herd, our own space and those that journey here.
Each year we have a practice of sitting with the herd to re-anchor and connect to that space of higher calling and purpose of what our path with them is meant to continue to hold and evolve into.
The horses then are integrated in what we create in our spaces.
They teach us about how to hold things with sacredness and care, to be discerning, to find language and value in what we create to sustain this path.
We believe we all have our versions of our path and vision with horses, each unique and sustaining to us and how we tend to them.
There is a way for us to walk in this path and world that supports our fulfilment of purpose, and the physical and practical ways this space needs to carry for what it looks like in our own unique versions of it.
When we are held in the places of our doubts alongside our visions, where we receive validation, affirmation and support so we can continue honoring the path, this is where we find our roots and capacity to sustain our path in a way that also tends to our own needs.

How do we call in this big vision that we have with horses and what are some ways to do that, both in having our own land and also how do we cultivate it in land that does not belong to us.
How do we anchor into our purpose and calling with horses and feel supported in that space?
How do we define and understand horse medicine and to cultivate the space of co-creation with our horses on our path?
What language can we speak that aligns to who we are wanting to create for and how to feel confident in our voice with the horses.

Hillary Schneider
Hillary Schneider is the founder of Horse Medicine Leadership and Epona Rise Retreat Center.
She has spent the last 14 years dedicating herself to teaching and sharing the wisdom and medicine of horses to those that are called. Hillary runs her own 80 acre retreat center with a herd of 27 wise equine teachers, together they lead and facilitate retreats for those that are called to the wisdom and medicine of horses.
Since 2013 Hillary has been mentorship and teaching other equine facilitators that are looking for a path that empowers and is centered around the partnership with horses and what they have to teach us. She is deeply honored to share and teach this path with her herd of horses and grow this beautiful community of horse medicine leadership.
