Horse Medicine Retreat
An exploration of the unique medicine of horses and ourselves.
We all carry a unique medicine within us, both horses and humans, to know our medicine is to honor the purpose and path that we are called towards.
To know our horses in the unique medicine they bring means we are able to acknowledge and honor the teaching they bring, and to witness them as true wisdom keepers and way showers.
Each horse has a medicine just as we do, and to be able to know how to read and recognize the medicine of each horse, means we become fluent in the capacity to also read it in ourselves and others.
We are shown the way to our own medicine while we are witnessing it in the discovery of the medicine of our horses and the horses that show up in our lives to guide us.
We don’t often view ourselves as carriers of wisdom, instead hiding behind horses or deflecting the space of our own presence in our path with horses.
The power of our work with horses is found in our capacity and ability to claim our own unique medicine and purpose alongside of them.
Holding a generic and broad holding of the space with horses, while neglecting to allow ourselves to be witnessed and held in the connection with them, means that we are not able to hold our work as potently or powerfully as we can.
To know our medicine is also to know how to support our own self journey, to take ownership of our woundings while also empowering our gifts.
As facilitators, we are more masterful when we hold ourselves in this way, we can call in who we are meant to support and we can find our rhythm and purpose alongside the horse.
To know our inner medicine also means we build confidence in our unique presence and how we lead alongside our horses and their medicine.
It means we are able to confidently speak to who we are and take ownership of our presence and leadership.
It means we are grounded and anchored in our purpose with horses and have the courage to share that with those that are meant to experience it alongside of us.
This retreat is about knowing ourselves and our horse partners more deeply. It is about speaking the language of medicine and knowing how to interpret and witness it in our horses, ourselves and those that come to journey with us.
Who is this retreat for?
This retreat is for current and aspiring equine facilitators that recognize they need to land more deeply in their own unique medicine and teaching, to be able to feel more confident and empowered in how they show up in their path with horses.
You are wanting to know your horses or the horses that are showing up on your path more deeply. You recognize the desire to know the unique medicine of each horse that is showing up for you and how to teach that for others to also witness.
You are also someone who is struggling right now with a sense of clarity and purpose in what you bring to this path with horses and how you are called to walk this work out in the world that feels unique and aligned to not just what the horses are bringing, but your own medicine.
You want to be able to deepen your honoring of your horse partner by recognizing and knowing the medicine they bring to this work and your relationship with them.
In the space and holding of our herd, you will find a path of knowing the medicine not just of horses but of yourself and others. To speak the language of medicine is to speak the empowerment and honoring of our unique purpose and the purpose of the horses that are called into our lives.
